Dr. Katerina Davis has worked in academia for over 29 years. She values interdisciplinary teaching, research, and services. She presented her theory-driven empirical mixed methods research in local, 国家, and inter国家 conferences in Puerto Rico, 摩尔多瓦, 匈牙利, 哈萨克斯坦, 乌兹别克斯坦, 加拿大, and the United States (Florida, 加州, 肯塔基州, 路易斯安那州, North Carolina, 乔治亚州, and Alabama). She was nominated for the Outstanding Educator of the Year for 2003 and the Outstanding Educator of the Year for 2008. She served as a researcher and research consultant at the FSU Center for 领导 and Social Change, Florida Campus Compact, Trans-cultural Research and Education Consortium, Florida Center for Reading Research, Comparative and Inter国家 Education Society, and National Association for Multicultural Education.

Dr. Davis earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Florida State University. During her time at FSU, she taught interdisciplinary academic courses in the College of Social Sciences, the College of Arts and Sciences, and the College of Education, and engaged in research in the Department of Educational 领导 and Policy. She served as a mentor for the Inter国家 Network Scholarship Program for 教师 Development Fellowship and a co-chair for the New Scholars of Dissertation and Publication Mentoring Workshops at the Comparative and Inter国家 Education Society (CIES). She received prestige awards and research grants from the U.S. Department of Education, American Councils for Inter国家 Education, Open Society Foundations, Central European University, Comparative and Inter国家 Education Society, Golden Key Inter国家 Honor Society, and Florida State University.

She has been a guest speaker at the Christian 学校 of Palm Beach County Staff Development Day, facilitating the seminar “Schooling in Developing Countries: Intercultural Communication”. Dr. Davis was a frequently invited guest speaker at the Gus A. Stavros Center for Advancement of Free Enterprise and Economic Education and the Kiwanis Club in Tallahassee. She worked on the federally funded research project “No Child Left Behind” at the Florida Reading Research Center (FCRR) and volunteered in the Global 领导 Summit for Church Leaders “Lead Where You Are”.

Dr. Davis joined PBA in 2018. 在PBA, she has developed two advanced graduate courses for the Global Development Master’s Program: DEV-5063 Development Policy (Fall-2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 和2022年) and DEV-5033 Practicum in Development Policy (Spring-2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 和2022年). She also taught the undergraduate course PLS-3413 Inter国家 Relations for the Political Science Department. While teaching the Developing Policy graduate course, Dr. Davis created an academic-practice partnership with the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce through the Prosperity 领导 Program and built a partnership with the Boca Community Church through the City Lead Initiative Program, providing her students with the professional development, 精神上的, and networking opportunities and connecting them with local successful 精神上的 leaders, policymakers, and entrepreneurs.

Professional development includes certificates in development policy, compliance and research administration and training (CReATE), research and data analysis, and instructional excellence in political science and economics.
